Chains of Fate Vol. II
630-641 Cavalonian Unification (The War of Unity)
While Straad was discovering Bael-Turath, the Dukes and Barons of what would become Cavalonia were busy fighting bitterly amongst themselves. Finally in the Battle of Three Moons, fought between the two main warring alliances, Cavalonia was united. A young man, by the name of Aramar, who’s father was said to have been a great dragonborn warlord, and whose mother was rumored to have been a powerful malificar, rode into the fray along with a band of twelve other warriors, each mounted atop a golden griffon. Aramar was challenged to single combat by the Duke of Regalia, leader of the Allied League. Just as Aramar seemed about to triumph, Lord Kass of Venaii, leader of the Golden League, attacked him by surprise. Badly wounded, Aramar fought the both of them alone. He eventually triumphed, however instead of slaying them he bade them set aside their differences and unite the land. They did so, and crowned Aramar the High King of Cavalonia. Aramar sealed the unity with the teachings and commandments of Bahamut, making his new kingdom of Cavalonia Bahamut’s vassal of the material plane. In following the tradition of Aramar, the Knights of Cavalonia are known as Cavaliers and ride mighty griffon mounts into battle.
